A jaunty little poem about leprosy that appeared in The Cresset. Technically, this is a poem about being ceremonially cleansed after recovering from leprosy. The cleansing ceremony prescribed by Leviticus is so beautiful, the poem wrote itself.
These poems appeared in The Offending Adam, and they are about the foolishness of the heart, the hope and strangeness of prayer, and the foolishness of the heart, respectively.
This is a weird poem based on a real dream. Why did my subconscious choose to communicate to me through this vessel? I can’t say. But I do know this is a poem about vulnerability and power dynamics.
This is kind of a sad poem published in Box of Jars.
